Deadline to apply for this trip is July 5, 2026.

PARTNER SUPPORT

This team will serve our partner, Cosdecol as we learn about their ministry and the impact they have in their community. During our time together, team members will interact with the kids from the ministry, the staff, teachers, and coaches, and the local community that our partner serves. We will also provide financial and physical support to further aid in their year-round ministry.

This will be HFK’s first-ever trip to Cosdecol. We had a Vision Trip to Cosdecol in June 2025 where our Executive Director and one of our Team Captains (Agustina) were able to visit the site and get a personalized tour by our other Team Captain – Allison. Allison is very familiar with Cosdecol due to years of experience serving and visiting them; most recently spending 3 months working as a soccer coach.

“The mission of Cosdecol is to assist in building the physical, economic, social and spiritual welfare of the children and youth of Colombia. Through soccer programs for all ages, the CUSC presents a positive alternative to the difficult circumstances that surround so many of the young people we serve, develops the athletic abilities of youth, and shares the love of Christ.”

You can learn more about Cosdecol through this short video below. Click here if you want to see the full version.

While we partner with faith-based organizations, it is not a requirement to adhere to a specific religion or belief to join us. We strive to provide an equal opportunity to all individuals interested in our service trips, hoping that each life will be uniquely transformed. That being said, we ask each participant to be respectful of each other and of our partners, and to remain open to conversing about the things that make us different as well as the commonalities that bring us together.

TEAM CAPTAINS

Your Team Captains for this trip will be Agustina Singh & Allison Moen. Here is a message from them:

Hello! My name is Agustina and I am the #1 fan of Here for Kids and Diego (HFK’s Director)! Also Diego’s wife ☺️

I’ve had the opportunity to travel with HFK to 4 of the 6 partner countries (Peru 2020, Dominican Republic 2022, Mexico 2022 & 2024, and Costa Rica 2025).

In the summer of 2025, I also had the honor of being on the vision trip for this new partner site in Bello (next to Medellin), and really felt God’s presence and calling there. I am a field hockey coach, so I loved learning about how they mixed in biblical teaching and fellowship within the soccer practice structure. They also had a gym that would allow for parents and community integration, and I could imagine how God is using this ministry to reach people well beyond the kids and coaches on site.

I am so excited to lead the inaugural trip to Cosdecol, this is an amazing ministry in a BEAUTIFUL location surrounded by lush green mountains. We hope you will join us to experience the country’s love for soccer and God’s love for his children through this HFK trip!
-Agustina

Hi there! My name is Allison, and I am living in very sunny Phoenix, Arizona where I get to work for a soccer non-profit / ministry that serves youth and families in Central Phoenix. I am so passionate about using sports ministry (specifically through soccer) to share the love of Christ with others!

I was first exposed to sports ministry in 2021 by going on a short-term mission trip where we partnered with a soccer ministry called Cosdecol, located in Medellin, Colombia. It was a life changing experience and truly amazing to be able to connect with so many people from a different culture through the game of soccer. Since then, I have had the opportunity to serve with Cosdecol for the past 5 years and this last summer I got to spend 3 months living and serving in Medellin! While I was living in Colombia, I went on my first HFK trip to Palmira, Colombia. So, needless to say, I am very excited to be a Team Captain for the very first HFK service trip to Cosdecol!

I hope you can join us in Medellin this summer. It is going to be a life changing trip where we will get to experience a deep sense of joy as we serve, love, and grow as a team. Plus, we will get to play soccer with the kids!
-Allison
