2026 Activity Books Assembly Service Day

Thank you to our 22 volunteers who helped assemble 32 Activity Books at our second Assembly Service Day! 📚💚
In 2024, we started a partnership with Listos Learning. Listos Learning is led by Eva, an HFK alumni that has felt “the eternal joy of service” through two separate International Service Trips when she was in college!
Since our partnership began, our trip participants have used these English/Spanish bilingual Activity Books to interact with the kids we serve. After using the books on our trips, we donate them to our partner ministries so they can continue to use them at schools, residential homes, churches, and more! Above are different instances where we’ve used the books this past season.
Listos Learning donates unassembled books to HFK, so we created a Local Service Opportunity for people to help assemble the books and learn more about HFK as we approach our service season. Check out a recap of the event below!
We were able to host this event at Reality SF as we are one of their Global Partners. Thank you Reality, we’re grateful for our partnership and blessed to host this event in your beautiful space!
As the first few people arrived, they got straight to assembling the books! As more people came, they grabbed materials, chose a table, and connected with old and new friends.
As everyone arrived, we had resources for people to learn about HFK and ways they can stay involved. Then, we gave a presentation while the assembling continued.

This year, each person wrote a note on the back of the books they assembled as encouragement for the child that would eventually receive that specific book. This was a beautiful way for volunteers to spread God’s love and do some local service with a global impact. They might even be lucky enough to encounter and recognize the book they assembled on a future trip!
Lots of questions were asked throughout from people interested in HFK and our trips. People continued to enjoy each other's company, eat the food we provided, and finish assembling the books! Some even stayed beyond the 2 hours to finish assembling the books and continue chatting with each other.
It was a blessing to provide this space for people to serve, connect, have some dinner, and learn more about ways to stay connected with HFK! We are very thankful for the support of everyone present and for God’s protection over these partnerships.
