HFK Family Reunion 2025
On August 17, 2025, we celebrated a major milestone: the 2nd Annual HFK Family Reunion - and this year was extra special as it marked 15 incredible years since HFK began its journey.
HFK alumni, staff, board members, friends, and family gathered once again in Lafayette, CA. Not too far from where HFK was originally founded, the location offered not just convenience, but a meaningful connection to our roots - the perfect place to honor our history and look ahead to what’s next.
Here are some highlights of the games, the connections, and the fun below! ⬇️

The 2025 HFK Family Reunion marked a special continuation of what’s quickly becoming a cherished annual tradition. Held once again at the Lafayette Reservoir in Lafayette, CA, this year’s gathering brought together 42 members of the extended HFK community - a great mix of alumni, current staff and board members, and supportive friends and family.
Last year’s reunion commemorated a major milestone: the first official gathering since HFK was founded by Randy Farris in 2010. This year, we built on that energy, celebrating the connections that continue to grow and thrive within our HFK Family. The afternoon was filled with familiar faces, new connections, and the kind of warm, joyful atmosphere that defines HFK.
As attendees arrived, they were welcomed with a few interactive touches that helped set the tone - creating name tags, snapping Polaroid pictures for the guestbook, entering the raffle, and grabbing a Human Bingo card to kickstart the fun. The Bingo competition was intense, with many people just one square away from shouting “Bingo!”
Throughout the event, folks mingled at picnic tables over a delicious shared meal, catching up and swapping memories from trips past. Diego, HFK’s Executive Director, shared a few updates about the organization and what lies ahead. The day wrapped up with friendly volleyball and lawn games, and big rounds of applause for our raffle winners.
Guests came from near and far, with attendees representing HFK trips from across the last 15+ years. Their presence was a powerful reminder of the deep relationships and lifelong impact these experiences continue to create. While we celebrated the past and the present, this reunion also looked forward - planting seeds for future connections and continued collaboration within the HFK community.
Thank you so much to everyone who joined us for our 2nd annual Family Reunion.
We are so excited for the continuation of this tradition and hope you’ll join us!
