This trip offers an international service experience in Constanza, Dominican Republic.
Below are some important details about this upcoming trip.

The last day to apply for this trip is March 15, 2027.

PARTNER SUPPORT

This team will serve Seed to Sower Ministries in the Dominican Republic as we learn about their ministry and the impact they have in their community. During our time together, team members will interact with the kids from the homes and the school, the ministry staff, the house parents, and the local community that our partner serves. We will also provide financial and physical support to further aid in their year-round ministry.

Seed to Sower Ministries began with a faithful response to children in need—led by local Dominican leaders with a vision for long-term transformation. What started as a small educational effort has grown into a network of holistic care serving thousands of children and youth each year. Serving with Seed to Sower may include moments of prayer, attending Christian church services, listening to Bible teachings & worship, and participating in other religiously-focused experiences.

Here is a short video overview of our partner and their ministry all over the DR.

While we partner with faith-based organizations, it is not a requirement to adhere to a specific religion or belief to join us. We strive to provide an equal opportunity to all individuals interested in our service trips, hoping that each life will be uniquely transformed. That being said, we ask each participant to be respectful of each other and of our partners, and to remain open to conversing about the things that make us different as well as the commonalities that bring us together.

TEAM CAPTAINS

Your Team Captains for this trip will be Diana Guerrero-Nieto & Emma Conlon. Here is a message from them:

Hola! My name is Diana Guerrero-Nieto! One of my lifelong dreams has been to go on mission trips—especially those focused on serving children. Planting seeds of faith in young, curious minds brings me so much joy!

In 2025, I was blessed with the opportunity to serve on my first international mission trip to Costa Rica with HFK. I served as co-team captain with Becca last season on a trip to Costa Rica again! This time I've been allowed to serve in the Dominican Republic as a co-captain alongside Emma!

I am beyond excited to have you join us on this life-changing journey. Sharing this experience with others is such a powerful way to grow God’s kingdom and deepen our personal faith. This is a true leap of faith—one that allows us to serve His people and make a lasting difference in their lives.

With the love of sports, quality time, and physical service, we have the opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus—serving, loving, and giving in every way we can. I can’t wait to grow and serve together as a team, becoming like family as we share His love with others! Cannot wait for you to join us!

-Diana

My name is Emma Conlon and I am from Des Moines Iowa! I am a full time personal chef and a recent addition to HFK! I grew up playing all kinds of sports and always loved playing with children. Also worth mentioning my love of food and other cultures, and a strong desire I have to travel to experience more! This organization has given me the best of both worlds!

Back in 2024, a close friend of mine Becca Tse invited me to go on a mission with HFK, but at the time I did not have the capacity to participate. Years later in 2026 I was asked again and was in a better position to do so, so I went! We went to the Dominican Republic for 9 days and I loved every second!

It is easy to say that the seed has been planted in my heart to continue to serve and love the children well overseas. I am excited to not only be a member this time, but to help lead as a Team Captain! So excited to see the kiddos again and deepen those relationships!

-Emma
